Resolution 2654 of 2019 (Colombia)
When you schedule and gain access to a consultation through the CAMED platform, you declare that you have read, understood and accepted the following informed consent to get health care under an interactive Telemedicine modality.
1. Nature and Scope
Interactive telemedicine involves the provision of remote, real-time health care using information technologies. The doctor will evaluate his condition using verbal and visual information (through video) and previously shared medical records.
2. Potential risks
I understand that telemedicine has inherent limitations as it does not allow a traditional face-to-face examination, and this may make a complete or precise diagnosis difficult. Also, there are risks associated with using technologies, such as shortcuts in connection, audio / video interruptions or network vulnerabilities.
3. Benefits
The use of telemedicine facilitates timely access to specialist professionals, reduces the need for physical displacement, minimizes the risk of exposure to communicable diseases in waiting rooms and provides comfort and privacy.
4. Privacy, Confidentiality and Security
Security access controls, identity checks and measures have been put in place to protect the confidentiality of medical data transmitted during the session. The care will be recorded in a formal medical history by the doctor.
5. Emergency Plan
If a technical defect that prevents its completion occurs during the consultation, the team will be communicated by phone to reprogram. We reiterate that this service is NOT for emergency care (to do so, contact local authorities or come to an emergency).
6. Patient's responsibility
It's my responsibility to have a private space, good light and stable internet connection. I undertake to give precise information about my health and to answer truthful questions from the ethical professional.
