The word "CBD" appears in cosmetics, welfare products, raw materials and pharmaceutical preparations. The commercial category of a product, its health registration, concentration and medical indication completely change what can be expected of it.

- Do not assume that a CBD label defines a dose or a medical indication.
- An individual prescription should be from the patient's history and risks.

The process begins with a medical examination. If the doctor determines that they are appropriate, issue a prescription and the patient gets his or her production or medicine through an authorized pharmaceutical channel.
Can I buy medical cannabis in a store without a prescription?+
A compounded preparation for an individual patient requires a prescription and dispensing by a pharmacy. Non-psychoactive products exist under other commercial categories, but they must not be confused with a medical prescription or individualized treatment.
Does the evaluation guarantee a prescription?+
No. The doctor may consider that cannabis is inappropriate, request additional information or recommend an alternative. Medical autonomy is an essential condition of the process.
Do CAMED sell oil, flowers or cannabis products?+
No. CAMED organizes counselling, medical evaluation and administrative accompaniment. It doesn't grow, manufacture and distribute products.
What should I have ready for consultation?+
Clinical history, diagnoses, current medicines, relevant exams and clear explanation of previous symptoms and treatments. If you don't have everything, you can start with an orientation.
Can an assessment be made from any town of Colombia?+
