Medical travel · Colombia

Plan your medical-cannabis care before visiting Colombia.

CAMED helps international visitors understand the Colombian clinical pathway, prepare the right questions and avoid confusing a medical prescription with permission to cross a border.

Information, medical coordination and administrative orientation only. No border clearance, guaranteed prescription or cannabis sales.

The essential distinction

Medical care in Colombia and carrying a product across a border are two different legal questions.

Colombia’s baseline

Article 83 of Colombia’s Resolution 1478 of 2006 establishes a standard maximum of 30 days of treatment for controlled medicines carried for personal use and requires incoming patients to carry a copy of the prescription.

How CAMED prepares the pathway

Prepare remotely. Decide clinically. Travel with clarity.

We can begin with travel context and documents before departure. The clinician independently decides whether cannabis is appropriate and when the consultation can lawfully occur.

Step 01

Itinerary review

Origin, connections, dates, return route and the exact medicine—not simply the word cannabis.

Step 02

Document preparation

Prescription evidence, product details and authority questions are organised before the flight.

Step 03

Independent medical assessment

A Colombian clinician reviews the case; CAMED never promises a prescription.

Step 04

Country-specific next steps

The plan distinguishes Colombian care from export, transit and re-entry rules.

Real international experience, no invented testimonial

CAMED has already supported visitors from the United States and the United Kingdom.

Their preparation informs this process: start before travel, separate border permission from medical care, and document the route. We protect their identity and do not claim that one traveller’s outcome guarantees another’s.

A calm trip comes from verified rules and a realistic plan—not from a “safe-conduct” promise that CAMED or a prescription cannot legally make.

Start before departure

Tell us the route. We will help you frame the right questions.

Share your country, connection airports, dates and medicine name. Avoid sending full medical records through an initial marketing conversation.
