Short answer
Europe does not have one export rule for medical cannabis. A Schengen certificate is designed for travel between participating Schengen states and does not by itself authorise entry into Colombia. Travellers must check their country of residence, transit countries, Colombia's 30-day rule and their return route.
The rule people miss
A Schengen certificate is not a Colombia travel permit
Article 75 of the Schengen framework provides a certificate for residents carrying prescribed narcotic or psychotropic medicines to another Schengen state, generally for up to 30 days. Colombia is outside that system, and national export rules still vary across Europe.
Contact the competent authority in your country of residence and the Colombian consular or health authority with the exact product and itinerary. Check every transit airport even if you do not leave the terminal.

Identify the competent authority in your country
Rules can differ between European states and by medicine. Ask the authority responsible for controlled medicines whether an export licence, certificate or prescriber letter is required.
Do not extend Schengen paperwork beyond its scope
The Schengen certificate supports travel between participating states. It should not be presented as proof that Colombia or a non-Schengen transit country has authorised the product.
Apply Colombia's 30-day traveller rule
Article 83 of Resolution 1478 of 2006 limits controlled medicine carried for personal treatment to a standard 30-day supply and requires an incoming patient to carry a copy of the prescription.
Plan the return before the outbound flight
The rules of the departure country, every transit country, Colombia and the country of return must all be checked. A Colombian prescription does not automatically authorise entry elsewhere.

What this pathway can and cannot do.
Does EU prescription recognition apply in Colombia?+
No. EU cross-border prescription rules concern EU countries. Colombia applies its own law to entry, prescribing and dispensing.
Is the Schengen certificate enough for Colombia?+
No. The certificate described in Article 75 is for movement between Schengen states. Colombia and any non-Schengen transit state must be checked separately.
Why is there one Europe guide rather than many copied country pages?+
Because the law is national and product-specific. This page explains the shared decision points; CAMED will add a country page only when it can provide distinct, verified guidance for that jurisdiction.
